Tirich Mir is the highest mountain of the Hindu Kush range, and the highest mountain in the world outside of the Himalayas–Karakoram range, at 7,708 meters above sea level. It is located in the Chitral District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Kalasha Valleys are situated in Chitral District in northern Pakistan too. The valleys are surrounded by the Hindu Kush mountain range. The inhabitants of the valley are the Kalash people, who have a unique culture, language and follow a religion similar to the Historical Vedic religion.
