The Barguzin Valley is one of the largest natural formations in Buryatia. There are almost no roads or other traces of human presence here. But there is a real taiga, a zone of high-mountain tundra and desert areas. The length of the basin is 200 km, the width is 35 km, and the edges of the "bowl" rise to a height of 600 m.
